Toyako Visitor Center's Further Enhancement in Exhibitions for Foreign Visitors

In order to help foreign tourists to Lake Toya area this summer, Toyako Visitor Center, a nature information facility established by Hokkaido Regional Environment Office in 2007, has been reinforcing exhibitions in foreign languages for non-Japanese visitors.
As a part of the series of the project, the exhibitions of Toyako Visitor Center (142-5, Toyako Onsen, Toyako Town, Abuta-gun, Hokkaido) has been translated into English, traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese, and Korean. In addition, in Toya Takarada Nature Experience House (3, Takarada, Toyako Town, Abuta-gun, Hokkaido), another facility operated by the Ministry of the Environment on the northern shore of Lake Toya, the video showing the nature in and around Lake Toya subtitled in English will be released soon.
Hokkaido Regional Environment Office is now working on the production of various other publications and exhibitions in foreign languages. For example, publishing a guidebook about the six national parks in Hokkaido such as Shikotsu-Toya National Park in various languages.
